Jason LaRue forced to retire after getting kicked in the head

Jason LaRue...catcher for the St. Louis Cardinals...will be forced to retire after Johnny Cueto kicked him in the head during a brawl in August. Now LaRue has had...what he would guess...20 concussions in his career...so we can't be sure how long he would have played yesterday...

    but damn...

LaRue said he wasn't going to press charges...but there would have to be a civil suit there....for sure...

    What a fucking suckhole...

As a die hard lifelong Cardinals fan , I would have to say that this was the last big nail in the Cardinals coffin in this dissapointing season . Sad . Johnny Cueto is a classless piece of shit for kicking LaRue in the head and face like a little girl . All LaRue was doing was protecting pitching ace Chris Carpenter from getting hurt in the fracas .

As a lifelong baseball fan and die hard National Leaguer , I always respected the Cincinnati Reds organization . Much like the Cardinals , the Reds are a charter member of MLB and have quite a respectable history . I believe most Cardinals fans feel the same .

Looks like rookie backup catcher Matt Pagnozzi will step in to back up Gold Glove starting catcher Yadier Molina .

I do believe that at some point next season , there will be a well placed fastball with Johnny Cuetos name on it . I'm just sayin'......

No , Yadier Molina was the starting catcher that day . He challenged big mouth Johnny Phillips at the plate at the start of the game which set

off the fracas . Phillips had seriously bad-mouthed the Cardinals in the press and in the media in the previous days leading up to this mess .

There has been much debate amongst the local sports talking heads about what Jason LaRue may do concerning any legal action . Just about

every caller suggests that Cueto get a special delivery next season . We shall see........

          It's a fucking mess...a fucking mess.

You know...the thing is...if something happens in a game to Cueto...and it's serious...

          then what...
