This sounds suspiciously like the Dr. Renee Richards case in tennis. For those that don't recall, Richards was born a man but had an operation to turn him into a woman, also known as a trans-testicle. (Of course, the operation for turning a woman into a man is known as an addadictome.) In any event, Richards then tried to compete on the women's tennis tour. Unfortunately, he overlooked one key factor: He was a crummy tennis player, and got handed his ass in every event he entered.
