Yep, the way the nitwit awkwardly shoehorns references and phrases from other sports into his commentary because he lacks the lexicon of golf never ceases to irritate. "Welcome to the NFL Prime Time of golf..." was a particularly painful one, along with his insistence of calling out shanks and naming missed putts balks.

I opened the deck closet to get some lounge chairs and found where my wife stashed all my golf clubs. They all came falling out all over the place when I opened the door. Then a Ping bag full of clubs came crashing down on me. I'm glad I never owned a bowling ball because that would really suck to come down on you.No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Tell me about it. Since Thursday, I must have averaged between 6 and 10 hours of coverage per day. By the time this event was over, I was more worn out than the players competing. What an astounding thing to witness, with more subplots, back stories and overall compelling drama than most Hollywood movie makers or best selling authors could even hope to imagine.

Par 5 11th hole yesterday. Sliced tee shot OB.
3 off the tee in the fairway. 4th right rough 155 out.
Proceeded to dump my 5th in the drink in front of the
green. Drop 6, 7 on the fringe about 40 feet away.
Poor chip and two putts later I carded a fucking ten.
Still shot 89. Can't wait to do it again Sunday.'Cause three holes are better than a hole-in-one!!!Comment

After some nasty weather blew thru the DC area
last nite, they're playing the AT@T without galleries.
Spectators told to stay home because of fallen trees.
Kinda strange watching TW play without a mob scene
around him.'Cause three holes are better than a hole-in-one!!!Comment

I really think Phil is focusing more on the British Open rather than anything else, as he's headed to Europe next week to practice. He could use the head-start, judging by the way he was spraying the ball all over the place yesterday. His mind certainly wasn't in West Virginia.

Just read TW blamed mising the cut on "playing in altitude".
Also said his SW was going 142, 145. PW was going 160.
Are you fucking kidding me? I'm reaching for the 6 at 160.
Why would you play a course with those conditions
two weeks before a major? Isn't that like playing the Shell Houston Open
on those Bermuda greens the week before The Masters?'Cause three holes are better than a hole-in-one!!!Comment
