First round club champs yesterday. Teed off on 10, uphill 143yd (I did the conversion for you guys ) par 3.

Hit 6 iron to ten feet and holed the putt!! Holy shit my knees were knocking. Two bad holes cost me nine to par. Finished with 42-47 89 nett 76.

That puts me 15th in b grade, but for the next three weekends I have gigs so I don't know if I'll play round 2.
Talk me into it, golfists!!

One of my friends here in Nashville is the head audio engineer for the SkyTV and HD 3D broadcast.

I watched the last 3 holes today.....wow.

The audience response is so unlike it used to be....polite clapping......this is more like a rock concert, lol.

Experience of a lifetime being out there yesterday. Got
there at 6 AM. Got seats in the stands on the first tee.
It was like a rock concert. Asked the Marshall on 14 tee to
to pick up Bubba Watson broken tee for me after his group
cleared out. Sat across 13 green on the hill. Smoked a Romeo
slammed a couple Stellas, and ate a Norco. Damn shame
about today. DL IIIs captains picks played like crap today.

I played for awhile in the early 70s. I came across some biography about Ben Hogan, and of course the author of a biography is going to portray his subject as some sort of GOD....so being a young teenager I was duly impressed, and began watching tournaments on TV.

Asked for a set of clubs, and lo and behold I got a set for my birthday one year. 2 woods, 4 irons and a putter. And a bag of course. Man I was ready to rock! Practiced a lot. Played occasionally. Sometimes sneaking onto the back 9 to play after about 6 or 7 in the evening......the course was only a couple of blocks from my house.

Then I got waylaid by the snarl of a heavily amplified guitar......so much for golf...
