Jimy Williams out as Manager of the Astros?

Well...Williams has always been a product of the players...

I wonder who would replace him?

I think I heard Fregosi being mentioned to light a fire under them...

It looks like Don Baylor and Phil Garner are the top candidates...

I'd go after scrap iron...Baylor's overrated...

        Garner sucks.

Although he did challenege the White Sox broadcast crew to fist-a-cuffs.

Garner must have finally gotten that stint managing the woeful Tigers out of his system.

Hopefully he can do the job for the Stros.

Well...I think it's a smart hire in this respect...

He COULD light a fire up under them for a half a season...

I just don't see this guy as a long term fix...

Did anyone seem Jimy Williams at the AllStar game...

the crowd boos the shit out of him...

            man...talk about a shitty night for him...lmfao...

For Garner though, he does light that fire, the job will remain his.

I'm surprised that his name hasn't come up in awhile regarding managerial jobs.

Maybe he has turned down other offers.

I remember he was up for the Pirate job at one point I believe...

and I know there was rumblings for him in Cleveland when Wedge was hired...

                but other than that...nothing much...

rumors roll that the guy is fiery...but not an x's and o's kind of guy...and rubs players the wrong way...

you may know more about that though....from his Detroit stint...
