    So it looks like the future is a bit bright for your Phils...if they can ever put it together...

        The future just might look bright...however, the farm system is pretty much drained after the last 2 years of trading youngsters for help 'now.' Their only hope for the next 2-3 years is getting people at the major league level completely healthy, coming up with some additional $ to sign another free agent or two (serviceable guys rather than big 'names,' perhaps)...they need to sign FAs because they have NO prospects left to trade other than Hamels, Floyd and Howard.

        As for the new manager...well, Mike Schmidt and Larry Bowa are my two all-time favorite players. It would be hard to watch him get axed, but it just might happen.

        They got PLASTERED tonight.
