    E. Manning looks like a bitch

He went 4 for 14 with 2 picks, 2 sacks and a fumble...

and a monster 20 yards passing...

    Warner..9 for 11 for 104 yards and a TD...

    Eli...welcome to the bench...

Doesn't it seem like Warner's a little pissed off because of all the negativity towards him ???

Seems like he's definitely on a mission....

        Yeah...like Peyton REB?...

Who looks like a wonderful stud in meaningful games if he has Marvin Harrison in there...

but looks like a bitch when the games on the line in the big ones?

Look...no offense here...but THE MOST OVERRATED performers at QB in the history of the game are Archie Manning (who did absolutely nothing in this game...but survive for a shitty team) and Peyton Manning (who truthfully...stats or not...is a poor man's Marino)...

        Marino never had a Harrison...had he...good lord...

        Peyton has a running back...TE...fantastic receiver...great line...decent defense...

and they still can't get there...

You know...if Peyton would quit fucking changing every goddamned play at the line...

          maybe they'd be alright...

he has to change 70% of Indy's plays...

Yeah...geez.... Just a TAD bit of bias in that assessment Reb ???

Sure, the guy has talent, and you may very well be correct that he'll be a great QB in 4 years....

But I think I can speak for Poj when I say that the Eli-mania needs to chill the fuck out and let the guy learn under a proven NFL MVP QB, for a good year.....

Oh...I can agree with that VA...

I just don't think the guy's going to do much of anything...any more than his brother...

Yeah...yards and TD's are great...and 4th quarter comebacks in the first quarter of the season...

but let's face it...Manning's only as good as the time of year...

Peyton is a jackass, he never could win a big game, I laughed my ass off at those Volunteers everytime he lost the big game to play for the NC. He was scared of them Gators (Eli beat them 3 times). He hasn't changed, the COlts will win it all, perhaps next year, but he'll be a very good QB on a good team.

Eli is different, he's got the tools, and the quiet fire it takes. He's a winner, he knows how to play big games, and win them. Not very often UM has a chance to play in a really big game, but when they did, ELi shined, and he'll do the same in the NFL. He's just gotta catch up to the game speed like any rookie QB does, then it'll be on.

Comparing him to Peyton is like comparing apples to rotten oranges, Eli's got a stronger arm, can actually move around, smarter, and he knows where to play college ball.

BTW, Archie IS one of the greats, just surviving what he went through makes him one of the greats. The year ater the Rams won the Super Bowl, when the Saints were playing them up there. The play-by-play announcer mentioned Kurt had been sacked something like 8 times that season, and it was game 12, Archie replied "I remember several GAMES where I took more than that" :D

Oh...don't get me wrong...we all know the shitty teams that Archie played on...no doubt about it...

I'm just sick of all three of them...

I think Warner is going to have a great season this year.

I don't know if I'd say "great", but I think that he's getting dragged in the dirt a little too much nowadays....

I don't think he has many weapons around him to have a "great" year, as compared to the Rams offense....

And let's not forget that he now plays in a town with the largest group of asshole media contingents, i.e. 1st INT they'll be clamoring for Manning to come in there...

What I mean is that compared to his last few seasons it will be great. You are right about the media in NY, if he slips even a little they will want his head.

If Warner has a "great" year, my opinion of him will change 180 degrees...

I still feel that Trent Green is kicking himself in the ass...because it could have been him...

and if Bulger was there 4 years earlier...it coulda been him...

and if I was there...it coulda been me...

WARNER has a gun...and talent...don't get me wrong...but he was surrounded with an incredible line...two incredible...well...really...4 incredible receivers...a good tight end...a great tailback...and a great offensive scheme...

he doesn't have that in NY...and he's not the kind of qb to overcome it...
