Jesus....during Black Dog Pagey is WAY the fuck out of tune....
This show was at Memorial Auditorium in Dallas.
In the book "Stairway To Heaven" written by their tour manager Richard Cole, the only thing mentioned about Dallas was that the promoters had rented a rather large house for them to stay in, but then had conveniently forgotten to pay the owner, who showed up late one night with a shotgun, telling them they could not have girls there, and who actually locked the gate to prevent them from leaving without paying him.
They piled into a car, and crashed through the gate, making their escape.
According to the old bio "Hammer Of The Gods", both the Dallas & Houston shows were sold out, and a trio of rich groupies had rented a Learjet to follow them around. They played Ft. Worth the night after this show.
Goddamn...Pagey is so out of tune on "Over The Hills & Far Away" it is not even funny.
I am still marveling over the great sound quality.
Despite the tuning problems and Plants slightly rough voice, you can hear everything extremely well.
Kudos to Alex for turning us onto this amazing show.
