Help!

wow lol. ok i finished downloading a 4 CD set but it wont let me play any of the files. it says it is seeding, but i dont know why i cant play the files

What are the files? MP3? Flac?

Download VLC player.... it plays all of that jazz.

i dont know what kind of files, i got them off of jamonthis yeah my computer was lagging or something so i pushed the button like 5 times

Thanks man! If you want to convert them to MP3 for your ipod or whatever, you can use the open source encoders and decoders, FLAC and LAME.

flac -d nameofflacfile.flac will convert the flac to wav.


lame --nameofpreset nameofwav.wav will convert the wav to mp3.

It might be hard to find Win32 binaries of LAME, though... I am on OS X, so I can't compile it for you

Google around.... or, just enjoy your flac files and forget about the iPod

There used to be an open source encoder/decoder with a GUI, but I forgot the damn name of it.... you can probably find it Googling around.

It's sweet.

ffmpegx is nice on OS X, but it does not support flac, IIRC.

No problem.

You will notice that the FLAC files will sound a million times better than any MP3s you have ever burned to disc, as well.

yeah they are flac files i just looked at them. and i hope so bc most of the songs i downlaoded i have had on cds before but they sounded pretty bad hopefully when i get the formatting done and put these on cd they will sound good

Transmission is nowhere near as good as Azureus, and I already mentioned VLC.

The one thing I don't like about VLC on the mac is that it always pops up error messages during video feedback, even though NOTHING is wrong. I like it much better on Windows.
