what's the advantage of putting VHS quality videos on Blu-ray?
I'm able to create it, though.
Howdy Cato,
The super high bitrate capability of Blu-Ray would eliminate most, if not all video compression artifacts.
There would also be plenty of room for uncompressed PCM stereo audio.
I watched Napalm today, and the only clip that looked to be sourced from VHS was California Girls.
I thought all of the other clips were from higher quality (non-VHS) sources?

good eye.
the Cali girls vid was sourced from BTB's "Rage, red and more" DVD. the others were from the broadcast reel. but they seem official release VHS quality.

Thank you for the information, Cato.
Surely, the official broadcast reel is higher resolution than VHS (240 lines)?
I believe a proper capture of the broadcast reel clips would look stellar on Blu-Ray.
I would love to have an upgraded and expanded version of Napalm on BD-R, as I doubt there will ever be an official release of DLR's promo videos.

Milan
so, what would you give me in return if I created it and sent you a copy?

The thing that stuck out in my mind about it was how the original trade was for a different band, and you threw in Napalm as an extra/freebie, which was a very classy thing to do.

Cato, what are you looking for?
I have several hundred uncriculated professionally shot photos of Van Halen in San Antonio on June 22, 2012 which I could send you on a DVD+R.
I've also been collecting bootlegs for 20 years and have thousands of FLAC sets/DVD+R video boots/and a few Blu-Ray HD video recordings to share.
If you'd rather I gave you cash for your work, PM me and we'll work out a deal.
glad to see you have a copy. don't know who you got it from, though..
I have a copy too. Bet you can't guess who sent it to me.

Cato-sama is nothing short of a class act.
Have you ever "updated" it, Cato? Added some videos, or anything?
