ok, i just got off the phone with riverside police records dept.
they say that it takes 7-10 days for them to get the reprts from the officers that made them, unless and arrest has already been made.
in my case, the report will be filed in the records department sometime next week, and then a detective will be assigned the case,
at which time i'll be contacted by the detectives to further discuss my case...

I'm not following this all that well, as you can see at the following link that the Sheriff of Riverside regularly offers press releases about active investigations, whether an arrest has been made or not.

The crime blotter just says that a complaint has been made....not a police report, not an arrest and not that an investigation is going on!
