And as for the Deep Purple/Queen comments.

It has been said that "Queen II" is what prog would sound like without keyboards, and "Child In Time" was featured on a prog compilation album a few years ago.

Already have done-it arrived on Thursday, and I think its better than "Testimony" and better than "One". And I hope to Alan that he is going to tour this time. I also noticed that he is on Roine Stolt's new album.

All we need now is a Transatlantic reunion.

            neal morse

            hey Shaun,

Well i highly dought Neal will do a full band tour thingy, but i suspect he'll do a church tour in like february. Other than that, i guess it remains to be seen. I called Neal at home like 3 weeks ago, but i did most of the talking hehe. Randy and i are targeting either March or April for his solo cd entitled Mirror's and Memories. You won't want to miss this one. Even though i did all the drum tracks on it, i truly think the cd will contain some really great songs displaying some awesome solos, and guest's. First i'm a fan, so i'm really excited about it.

This is a blast from the past.

                Why wasn't this stickied?

Anyone heard Neal Morse's new album yet?

I was recommended "Marillion". If they're worth checking out, which album would you recommend me acquiring?

Misplaced Childhood or Script for a Jester's Tear are the ones I would personally recommend

                      Anyone into King Crimson?

If any band ever defined the term "progressive" then it must be Crimson.

Check out "Red", "Discipline" and "Thrak", three totally different albums by the same group.

I don't mind them, but Bob Fripp as a human being puts me off.

In fact, seeing Fripp doing his "Frippatronics" puts me off listening to anything he does.

Although, I do have a KC compliation.

Their first Album is a prog classic if ever there was one.

                          The albums you mentioned:

"Discipline" gave me headache most of the times i listened, one has to be in a certain mood to enjoy that album i guess.

"Thrak" i cannot remember at all

"Red" is a great great album, raw, powerful, love it!

It a pretty unique sounding album.

Wierd counter melodies on the bass/chapman stick by Tony Levin but the whole thing has a groove about it.

Fripp and Belew are one of the most under-rated guitar partnerships ever. Perhaps because they don`t simply swap solos like other duos, but the way their guitar lines lock together is mindblowing.

                              Here's a finnish masterpiece from the 70's...Piirpauke perfoming a traditional tune...absolutely fantastic.

                              Here's the same band live.
