Here's mine, as long as stage presence is concerned:

        2. Elvis (... King)
        3. Mick Jagger (stage prince)
        4. Iggy Pop (stage lunanimal)
        5. Pete Townshend (yeah! stage roo)
        6. Jimi Hendrix (feels strange to put him in 6th place: stage pharaoh)
        7. Peter Wolf (in good old time J. Geils Band: stage blaster)
        8. Steven Tyler (stage WAdaDAdaDAAAAAAW!!)
        9. Freddie Mercury (stage queen)
        10. Lee Brilleaux (stage tenant)

I'll send another, as I think I've just got it's about singers in bands.

          So here we go again:

          2. Mick Jagger (stage host prince, recordman)
          3. Iggy Pop (stage insane)
          4. Peter Wolf (in good old J. Geils band days, stage explosive)
          5 .Robert Plant (stage emperor)
          6. Bon Scott (stage wizard)
          7. Steven Tyler (stage WAdaDAdaDAAAAAAW)
          8. Freddie Mercury (stage princess... arf! arf!)
          9. Lee Brilleaux (Dr Feelgood, stageaholic)
          10. Roy Looney (Flaming Groovies, stage mad man).

I'm still searching for number one. Anybody got an idea?:D

WARF....Chris Cornell and Scott Weiland in the top 5? Both of them have great voices, but I wouldn't even have those two in my top 20.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Bono yet. Love him or hate him, the guy knows how to work audience.

So many of those singers could easily be #1. Plant? No question. Ozzy? Same.
Freddie? Just watch LIVE AID. QUEEN buried EVERYBODY that day. What was it, like 14 hours of acts? INCREDIBLE!

yesss...this is how I would rate them "historically"

                              Elvis
                              Mercury
                              DLR
                              Morrison
                              Plant

                              Ozzy
                              Daltrey
                              Scott
                              Jagger

                              ...plus Johnny Cash!

personally, if I think of my favorites and influences throughout the years Jagger and Scott have never been that big to me...I'd probably replace them with Staley and Cornell. Btw, no one has mentioned Phil Lynott yet?
