Def Leppard - Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad? (I actually think all Def Leppards ballads fall into this category)
    Whitesnake - Is this Love?
    Scorpions - Winds of Change

that'll do, I'm nauseous from even typing those three.

What the fuck was Ozzy thinking to record a song i used to like with his talentless daughter.

The Scorpions did quite a few good songs-but I can now say that I hate 'Wind of Fuckin Change'

"Take me to the magic of the moment on a glory night
        Where the children of tommorrow..."
        Give me a fucking break.

And don't even get me started on 'Sweet Chold O' Mine'

It always seems to be the ones that get played on the radio, go high in the charts, your favourite band gets remembered for, your mum says she likes etc. that piss you off the most.

That is true-I think, for me, it's because I know that the band have done better songs than that. Having said that, if the songs I prefer were released as singles and were played all the time on the radio-I'd probably favour the ones that I hate now. It's a viscious circle.

IT's not that it's a bad song-I'm just sick of it. It is on EVERYDAY. I'm thinking "Play Mr Brownstone or I Used To Love Her instead"

Plus-it's not a rock song. Listen to it-it's a pop song-it came from a rock band, but it's a pop song. I despise the way that certain people I know think they know rock 'n' roll because they like 'Sweet Child O' Mine'. These are people who like 'Kitch N*SYNC' or shite like that.

I never really considered anything Led Zeppelin did a power ballad, but more of a folk song that was kicked up a notch. "Since I've Been Loving You" is a minor key blues song, and that's it. It shouldn't even be brought up in this thread. :D

To be honest, I think you have to blame bands like Journey for the power ballad stuff.

Scorpions had one with that whispering song. It was shit. Although 'Still Lovin' You' is good.

Mr Big had a very, very gay one after Billy left Dave.

Extreme had many gay songs too.
"FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKIN' BITCH! WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU ARE ANYWAYS? TALK TO ME LIKE THAT? FUCK YOU. DRAG QUEEN LOOKIN' WHORE- YOU AINT SHIT. YOUR THE FRECKLE TO THE LEFT OF MY BROWN EYE. NOW GO MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL...OH, PUT DAD ON THE PHONE"

I'd only mention that as a ballad for it's lyrics. They/the theme have/has been copied a thousand time afterwards.

I have to quote the South Park movie on this one....
