Check out a band called Riot.
Not Quiet Riot but Riot. This band was formed in 1976 in Brooklyn New York. Played on the Monsters of rock tour in 1980 with Rainbow, Judas Priest, The Scorpions, April Wine and Saxon.

2 of their best songs are CIA and Swords and Tequila.
Though not one of the most popular bands they were one of my favorites in the late 70's early 80's.

A little something about Skid Row
Skid Row was one of the last hair metal bands to hit the mainstream before grunge took over in the early '90s. Yes, that's right - Nirvana effectively killed off the whole '80s rock/hair metal genre. Damn them!. Anyway, back to my little write up... Skid Row were also arguably the last of the hairbands to have any originality. While their 1989 self-titled release used standard pop-metal riffs and contained a handful of generic lyrics, 1991’s Slave to the Grind and 1995’s Subhuman Race broke away from the pop-metal mold with uncharacteristically hard, thrashy guitars and more unique songwriting while still relying on varying '80s metal formulas. Though personal differences and changing trends would eventually tear the band apart by 1996, Skid Row showed a tremendous amount of promise during their short run in the mainstream.

Gary Moore ruled in Skid Row!

                          He still does rule!
