Who's the crazy person who voted Malmsteen? In that list or any list for that matter nobody beats Vai!Rumour has it that Van Halen have continued in recent years with a new lead signer, but since there 1985 breakup, nobody involved has ever recaptured that spontaneous cheeseburger magic!

I like them both. Two different styles. Two different personalities. Yngwie can also play some mean blues. He's got great feel and he can do a lot more than just play fast classical scales.
Steve Vai is more of some wierd spiritual being. Kind of like Hendrix in a way I guess. Sometimes I think Steve gets a little too far out there though.No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Malmsteen was one of the few guitarists to come up with something new after EVH. Malmsteen had almost the same impact as EVH, and ifluenced many many guitarists.Originally posted by David Van Via
