    NOW Who Do You Prefer?

The prog giants of the 70s?

    PINK FLOYD

    YES

    ELP

    KING CRIMSON

Tough call, but I am going to go with YES.

But, Pink Floyd are a VERY close second.

and ELP are a VERY close 3rd.

The reason I picked Yes is because I love Jon Anderson's voice, I think Rikk Wakeman is one of the greatest keyboard players of all time, ditto for Steve Howe and his guitar, and Chris Squire is such a unique bass player. Then, there's the songs. Very few times has there been a band that are as magical as Yes have maintained to be.

Assuming Pink Floyd means only with Roger Waters. they would win. Yes would be second, as long as Jon Anderson is present.

Pink Floyd are the obvious choice for me, because I'm always talking about them. Just look at my signature

Yes for their longevity and high quality over that period.

Pink Floyd were the most consistant band on the planet 1972-79, though.

The four albums from that period are flawless.

I guess I like Yes slightly more than Pink Floyd. Tough choice.
