The song "No more tears" excepted.
Jake`s songs piss on anything afterwards.
Jake was on what? two albums? Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin. Zakk's work on ( No Rest for The Wicked) and (No More Tears) smokes both of those dude.
Originally posted by Terry Twenty years on, I barely even remember the Oz stuff released when Jake was in the band. Jake E Lee....whatever.
Thats your problem, The Ultimate Sin is a good album....
Diamond Mafia Forever - 4. To restore fullbug to the prominent place in this board, after various serious attacks by hitch1969 have now damaged his reputation and now is reguarded as a "Retarded, Stoned, Canadian, Dog finger bangin' fuckup"

Two albums?
I find Jake a more tasteful guitar player than Zakk.
Unless, of course, it was Ozzy himself told Zakk to end every single guitar line he plays with pinch harmonics.
The only reason Jake`s stuff gets buried is largely because Ozzy himself says he doesn`t like it.
Whether it`s because of Jake or because of the addiction problems he had at the time isn`t clear.
The stuff with Randy just had more resonance with me. That's why Randy and Jake were both on the same amount of studio albums, yet it's Blizzard and Diary that get all the attention, least in terms of what ends up in my cd player.
Never thought Zakk was quite as talented and warranted as much coverage in the various guitar mags as he gets. But I enjoy what he does.
Think Jake coming on the heels of RR, he was bound to be in RRs shadow to a degree.
Gotta tell you though, was recently watching one of the gigs on the Speak of the Devil tour on DVD, and Brad Gillis wasn't half fucking bad! I mean, I still laugh every time I see him clutching the whammy bar like his life depended on it, but he was doing a better-than- average job of nailing those RR licks.

Dude, I saw Jake w/Ozzy when he was still going by Jake Williams ( I know, I'm old... )...He was absolutely NAILING Randy's parts, far better than Zakk ever did. HUGELY underrated guitarist....

With the Iron Maiden Bruce thing going on it has became a little more clear to me that Sharron is the one that blackballed Jake. What a fucking bitch. Im suprised she hasnt asked Zake to re-do Jake,s guitar work on those two albums. Like she did to Bob's bass a few years back. What a twAT!!
Seems any negative decisions with Ozzy are directly attributable to
that Sharon bitch. I think all of Ozzy's guitarists were great. Zakk
seems to have lasted longer than all the others. He must have learned
how to eat Sharons shit. Ive never heard Ozzy say anything negative
about Jake E lee other than he wanted to start his own band. It was
not in a hateful kind of way either.
BABY PANA 2 IS Coming !! All across the land, let the love and beer flow ! Love ya Mary Frances!
I found it a little odd that when Zakk first joined the band in 88 or so that Ozzy had made him basically a Randy clone-from the guitar designs to the long thumb nails. To me it just seemd cheap. Now Zakk is a redneck. Go figure.
When the shit hits the fan, close your mouth and duck.
