As fucking good as VH's album was, I'd have to say AC/DC For Those About To Rock was my favorite of 1981.

      Black Sabbath's "Mob Rules".

Easily one of their finest moments ever put to tape and much better than anything else that sold twice as much as it.

Closely followed by "Fair Warning", of course :D

Damn there was a lot of great records that year, but a Devil's gotta go with Fair Warning in the end.

I went with High N Dry, that is an underrated album.

VH - FW with Ozzy, Crue, Leppard, Rush and The Stones tied for a very very close 2nd.

                  My fave...Fair Warning!

I gave Moving Pictures a listen to awhile back...that's held its own and still sounds great too!

The Stones...damn that was a great release too!

                  Ozzy...WITH Randy...damn.

Hard choices this year...but I went with what I listen to the most...Sorry Lemmy..."Ace Of Spades"!

Fair Warning. With Diary a close second, and Moving Pictures third.

I wouldn't vote for Tattoo You in this poll, as it wasn't really a studio album, but rather a collection of old songs dragged out of the vault with a few vocal overdubs. Not that Mick didn't do a Hell of a job in that department.

This is another really tough year. I'm a Van Halen fan, but in 1981, the album I was really into was High 'n' Dry. That album ROCKED. Fair Warning is so good I have to say it's a tie for first with those two. Second is Rush, Motley, and the Police, all tied for 2nd.

                          That`s a bitchin` list.

They`re all great but I`m picking "Escape" by Journey.

Closely followed by all the above.

Fair Warning is one of the greatest albums ever recorded.
