I hung out with Zakk for a few hours in 1992. He was a really cool dude. Later on, I was in the photo pit right in front of him during his nightly guitar solo, and when he spotted me he began to make silly faces at me and cracking up and shit as he played the most incredible shit on his axe.

He is who he is, but don't think he is any kind of asshole.

I met him in '97 and he was cool as shit too. Think I've told this story here before, but he came in to do an acoustic set during the "Book of Shadows" days, and when me and my buds plopped down in the front row, he looks at us and goes "Guitar players? SHIT, I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE WARMED UP...."
