    DEEP PURPLE: 'California Jam' DVD To Receive U.S. Release In January

    According to Deep-Purple.net, the DEEP PURPLE "California Jam" DVD, which was released in Europe on November 21, will be issued in North America on January 24, 2006 via Eagle. The DVD contains a bonus track, "Lay Down Stay Down", plus alternate versions of two tracks with different camera angles, as well as a historical commentary, a picture and image gallery, a number of audio options, unseen 8mm clips from backstage and the control tower, on screen histories, footage of the band's arrival on Starship 1 etc. In addition a special edition will only be available to people purchasing via the Deep Purple Appreciation Society mail-order catalog; this will include a reproduction of concert ticket, the rare poster and backstage passes.

      I have had it on VHS for several years.

      Looking forward to the 8mm film and other extras...
