The Wendy O Williams appreciation thread

I looked at the DVD I have last night. It is actually not a 'Plasmatics' show....it is a 'Wendy O. Williams' show videotaped in 1985 in Camden, UK.

She has a typical 80s hair band backing her. Shred guitarist, solid bassist, and a drummer.

I have not heard of any of them before or since I saw this DVD.

All I can say is she and the Plasmatics were entertaining as hell. She clearly had some seriouse issues. Too bad she didn't get the help she desperately needed. She was a fucking walking insane assylum and it doen't get more punk rock than that.

Liked what she did with the Plasmatics well enough, but she stunk, solo-wise.

Yep, that's the one I was responding to - where Lemmy shows up for a tune...

The guitar player in her band was hi-LAR-ious...with that Kramer Pacer, and every lead of his sounded exactly the same as every other one - it's like he had only one set of licks and by default had to use them all in every solo.
