I first heard Dave Matthews back in 1995 when a friend of mine said:
"Duck...got a new band for you to check out."
Me,open to giving all types of music a chance,gave a listen and really wasnt impressed at all. THAT VOICE? How fucking annoying. The band may be tight but how boring? SERIOUSLY? There is nothing impressive to me. A couple of my buds love him...I fight with them all the time. They talk about their DAVE and fucking A...I talk about mine. The band does nothing for me....it bothers me How can this music be popular? Then again so were the Backstreet boys right? It's amazing....peoples tastes in music today. I have a profound hatred for the DMB. It rivals my hatred for REM, U2 and more recently Maroon 5.
Disagree with my comparisons, I don't care. Too much exposure to these bands and I might be driven to do something horrible with worldwide implications. A caricature of Budda, working in an outsourcing center. That oughta do it.

DMB is beyond horrible. I have very wide range in musical likes. I even like some "jam bands". But DMB sucks...nothing new, nothing original....putrid shit.

Some dude on a "nu rock" station here actually got fired for refusing to play that shit. Kudos to him....then he went to work for an "all things alternative" station here that also plays it.

It wasn't a work, because the two stations are not owned by the same parent company. (ie CC)
