I would actually call Cathedral more doom metal, personally...I don't think they're really death metal, but a good push in the right direction would certainly put 'em there....

good point.Cathedral are cool.i have 2 of there albums.The Garden of Equalibrium and The Etherial Fountain and there both cool.they kinda changed into stoner doom as they went on.

Point yourself. I have all the Cathedral albums, those first two are...almost borderline death metal...like I said before, a very small push would send it right there...

Just a stupid question, but what exactly IS the difference between metalcore(or grindcore) and death metal, cause to me it sounds the same. I couldn't get a straight explanation from a dude on my hockey team who plays metalcore
