    Rollins Band reunion tour

Any Rollins Band fans out there? I like Henry's "spoken word" tour but never really got into his music. Anyway, I got this email and I'm passing it along in case anyone is interested.

The classic Rollins Band line up has reformed and is hitting the road this summer with rock legends X. The "As the World Burns" Tour kicks off July 27th in Cabazon, CA. The second round of tickets go on sale this weekend. Fans can take part in a special pre-sale for all dates listed below. These pre-sale tickets are now available at www.rollinsband.tickets.musictoday.com. Details for the shows are below. Riverboat Gamblers will be main support for all shows.

    Cool!

I am a massive Rollins fan, his music is like a smack in the face!

So much adrenalin, and a great sense of humour!

He went off a bit with the last two records, but glad to see he has reunited the proper Rollins Band!

    Fuckin A!!!!!!!!!

I miss hearing The Rollins band perform their hit 'Liar'. That's what got me into Henry Rollins. I hate to be ANYONE who would piss him off......

Rollins is cool as hell, his books and show are great, his solo music stuff is pretty good.

Now if there was a Black Flag reunion I would be there without question....

The band was Mother Superior which was 3/4 of the Rollins Band lineup at the time. The show started with Keith Morris doing the songs that he sang lead on when he was in Black Flag. After that set, Keith exited the stage as the band continued playing and segued into "Rise Above" as Rollins came onstage. I wasn't old enough to see Black Flag. Over the years, I got to see one Greg Ginn gig at CBGB's and of course, I was at almost every Rollins show in the last 13 years whenever he came to town, so this was as close as I ever got and perhaps ever will get to seeing a Black Flag reunion even though Keith and Rollins were not in the same band at the same time. From what I've read, the relationship between Greg Ginn and Rollins is not unlike that between DLR and the Van Halens.

Interesting that the reunion of BF has been brought up. Which lineup would like to see reunited? As much as I like Henry Rollins, I still say my favorite Black Flag singer is Dez Cadena. My vote is for the Greg Ginn, Chuck Dukowski, Robo and Dez lineup.

No shit! Dez Cadena's vocals are great. His Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie is way better than Rollins', among others. When I saw Black Flag Henry sang Nervous Breakdown and it just wasn't the same. I would see that lineup for sure, but still think Rollins should be the first choice, he has a lot of albums with them. Anyway, Black Flag was Greg Ginn way more than Rollins or anyone else.
