            Also well documented is that Sammy Hagar is a wonderful singer with a great range and a highly succesful solo career. It's also been "documented" that he took Van Halen to "new heights" musically and he reached out to an audience that the band never would have reached with David Lee Roth at the helm.

            Based on my own personal observations, Yngwie's a complete gentleman and gets a lot of bad press based on a lot of jealousy. I've never seen anything out of the man to lead me to believe otherwise.

            If he was an asshole? Trust me, I'd be the first to tell you. But not to me, nor any of the other fans I've happened to meet him with over the years. Maybe he can be a dick head from time to time, but who isn't? Anybody really want to cast the first stone on that?

            Just a little reminder, folks - don't believe the hype...wait and find out for yourself, you might be pleasantly surprised at the reality behind the rumors in regards to "rock stars"...

                Either way, Malmsteen and his behavior isn't the point...

                The point is, I really wish Ritchie Blackmore would drop the new age, mystical bard, SCA Renaissance Faire crap and call Joe Turner, put together Rainbow and do one last ROCK tour before calling it a day.

                Hell, if he MUST be near Candice, put her on keyboards or something; it worked for Paul McCartney back in the day...

                Just seems strange that Ritchie would go out and do this sort of thing when his whole fanbase was based in the heavy rock audience...I can't really think the audiences to go see Blackmore's Night are a much bigger turnout than your local D&D Friday night gathering...?

                            Well, that was exactly my point. Personal observations ARE personal - and therefore Yngwie's so-called "attitude problems" are not well documented on any level greater than that.

                            Make your judgment call if/when you meet him.

                            I met him in Brazil, New York, three times in Japan and once in Florida, a few times by myself, and a few times with a lot of different people. Every single time he's gone out of his way to be friendly and polite.

                            Anyway, no harm done!
