I like Steve Morse, but not in Deep Purple. The guy they should have got is Yngwie Malmsteen....he's more Blackmore than Blackmore is. :D Also, since Jon Lord has retired so should Deep Purple....you can't have Purple without Jon Lord, PERIOD.

Didn't Blackmore say he was up for playing with Purple again, but lawyers were a problem? there was a thread here about it not long ago...

That said, I watched Purple perform with Morse last week and they were killer; they were really enjoying themselves onstage - though I think they should call it quits because Lord isn't there - Airey is good, but it isn't quite the same.
