My top 10 would be as follows....

      Elvis
      Mick
      Daltrey
      Morrison
      Plant
      Bowie
      Mercury
      Scott (as in Bon)
      Rotten
      Roth
      Bono

Now before anyone screams about Dave ranking too low on the list, let it be known that my list is ranked chronologically, and nothing else. In other words, in my opinion these are the 10 most influential frontmen in rock n roll ranked by order of appearance.

I didn't put anybody in from bands like the Beatles or Pink Floyd, because they didn't have one obvious frontman.

Oops... my list has 11? Well blame that on Spinal Tap. I was just listening to "Hell Hole".

BTW, this is really more a "House of Music" thread than a Van Halen/DLR topid.

How did I know the first non-comprehensive response would be from the product of Chimp Bush's educational system?

I guess youre right?... Still if you think that The bitch from the Sex Pistols is better than Dave you're education must have been extremely lacking

Put down the crack pipe and read what I said again.

The list is in chronological order.

The Sex Pistols released their album in 1977.

Van HALEN released theirs in 1978.

Now, are you on the right page yet?

Elvis would be #1. He started it all!!!
                        Dave is a top 5.
Axl Rose-Fuck-Off. Not even top 20.

As long as David Coversnale doesn't get in there were good.
