    Vandenberg...

The first concert I ever attended was Ozzy in 1982 with Vandenberg as the opener...

Their live sound was awesome and Adrian Vandenberg blew me away, but his later playing never matched what he did on the first Vandenberg album...

True , the only good album they did was the first one. I remember expecting more from this band.

Wasnt Adrian Vandenberg offered the guitar gig in O$$y's band after Randy was killed?

I saw them on that tour in Atlantic City. Was it 1982?

Can't remember if it was the first or second that was my favorite.
              Anyways, they're all available again:

To this day Burning Love remains one of my favorite ballads...

Remember also that Adrian did a short time in Whitesnake as well...

Definitely reminds me a little of Randy's "Laughing Gas". Wasn't Vandenberg living in Amsterdam or where ever when Quiet Riot was together though?

Second album wasn't that bad either, but I never made the move off of vinyl on either one. It was always middle of the road to me.

Adrian was also a talented artist who painted the artwork for their albums. Coverdale said that they were going to re record This Burning Heart for the album right after Whitesnake. What was it called, Slip of the Tongue? I think they would have done a respectable version, afterall Vandeburgh was playing guitar.

I saw Adrian on Dutch TV last week.
                            He was very nice.
He went to the same artschool I went to.
                            here's some work of him.
Different than the album covers he airbrushed.

It's awesome to see some fellow fans of Vandenberg! I play tracks off their first album on my show all of the time. The drums are killer, and Adrian Vandenberg's got great feeling in his playing.
I was in grade two when their first album came out and my brother bought it. I've loved it since my first listen. 'Heading For A Storm' and 'Alibi' are pretty good, but their debut is stellar from start to finish. 'Burning Heart' is definitely one of my favourite ballads.

That's so great that Vandenberg popped up on this site... killer!
