I always did find it ironic that Van HALEN played Montrose covers in the clubs. Especially given Dave's claims that he's never had to sing a Sammy Hagar song.

From 1975

This tune is not the Rolling Stones song of the same name. It is in fact a Billy Gibbons' original from ZZ Top's First Album.

That's not a cover. The tune is an unreleased VH track called Down In Flames.

From 1975, footage from 1982 or so. Once again, the solo begins in Ace territory and ends up on Ed's doorstep.
