Man $250 ??

$500 was the going rate for "unknowns" way back in the 80's
in Oz.. The great thing with PUB's back then was
they would give you free Beer as part of the deal,
and there was always dudes that loved to share
their various stashes with you. "Im with the Band Man"....

We even had quite a few PUB's (especially country)
offer a Room to stay overnight... (For free)
(also, dont forget the chicks !!??)

Never played a gig in the US, so its probably
totally different. Those perks would have to
add up to something.. Shit I bet most of us
could drink $500 worth of Beer between
the band after a gig !
