Exactly. I don't think any of this story is remotely funny. For a person to consider the thought of suicide and carry it on through obviously had some fucked-up dealings in their life. Alexa Ray may have been born with a silver spoon in mouth but it came with her father's alcoholic baggage and infidelity and a mother known to be one of the biggest and most hated bitches in the history of all supermodels.

Okay, so she may not have been blessed with looks (or talent) but to use that as a justification on why she should kill herself is retarded. If that were the case then none of us would be here.

There is never a real "why" about killing yourself. It's your brain's chemical and trained inability to deal with the everyday crap that life throws at all of us, large and small. Nothing emotionally horrible happens to anybody that somebody else hasn't survived.

It's like this. If mommy and daddy raised you in an enviornment where you learned to whine, take no responsibility, be a victim and feel entitled, you are unlikely to have the internal stuff to fight off horrible feelings. Same if they abused you or neglected or simply ignored you. Add to that, a huge deficit of seratonin that just doesn't get made in some people's brains, and you've got a recipe for disaster.

The good news? They can teach you HOW to handle the bad shit in life just like everybody else does. Sometimes it takes some drugs, definitely takes a LOT of work and practice, but it CAN be done. Then it's like this - you can still FEEL suicidal, but you simply choose to not kill yourself, and keep on with the battle. Cause really, that's all any of us do!!!! Yes, Virginia, that is mental health: Life sucks, and we keep going anyway, and make the best of it by enjoying whatever we can!

I was a huge and vocal critic of the psychiatric industry for many years, but I have to finally give them some credit. The latest bend in their thinking is that going over and over the bad things that happened to you is COUNTERPRODUCTIVE. It just dumps you right back into it. Now, there's this new idea that you're never getting rid of that stuff, it's never going to stop kicking your ass, so how are you going to deal with it, get up off your ass and make your life better? Then they teach you how. Shit most of you learned when you were three. Or twelve. or eighteen. It's embarrassing as all FUCK to be an adult and have to do this! But better than never doing it at all, cause honestly, nobody really wants to be dead. They just want to WANT to live.
