Ozzy Says "No Sabbath Reunion Soon"

Ozzy Osbourne has wrecked fans' hopes for another Black Sabbath reunion, insisting the group is like an ex-girlfriend he no longer wants to date.

The rocker refuses to rule out another tour with his old bandmates, but insists it isn't something he's planning for the immediate future.

Osbourne, who is currently embroiled in a copyright battle with Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, says, "I'm not gonna say I've written it (reunion) out forever, but right now I don't think there is any chance. But who knows what the future holds for me? If it's my destiny, fine."

Black Sabbath last toured with Ozzy as frontman in 2005 and the bandmates last reunited to perform at their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2006.

Osbourne adds, "I had girlfriends when I was younger and I would go, 'Oh, I would really like to go back with Shirley,' and then you do and you go to yourself, 'What the f**k was I thinking?'"

I hate to say this as i'm a big Ozzy/Sabbath fan, but..

That would suit most of the fans. As Oz can't cut it with most of the Sabbath material these days.

Ronnie on the other hand can sing anything.

Seriously. Ozzy should do a studio albumn with Black Sabbath and one with Several different guitarists,then release them both at once and do an Ozzfest where he BLS opens,Then Ozzy comes out ,does his set with the guitarists that wrote the songs(Jake,Zakk)and special guests at each show doing Randy stuff(Vai,Lynch,Navarro,whatever) then intermission and come out for a Black Sabbath set,and go out on top. The End.Make history doing it and be done.

The two dreadful studio tracks from that Reunion live album over a decade ago were enough to make me hope that the band would never record a new full length album with Osbourne. Ronnie James Dio on the other hand (as UK ROCKER pointed out), is quite another story.

now, getting back on topic, i really wish ozzy would do another record with sabbath,
i loved "scary dreams" in 2001.
but as it is, ozzy has lost his voice.
age and self-abuse is finally catching up to him.
however, ronnie still sounds great, and the current re-union of the classic 1981 line-up,
i hope ronnie revors from his stomach cancer, and this version of black sabbath called "heaven and hell"
continues being productive.
