Not tears, per se, but powerful nonetheless, to me:
Peter Gabriel - Father, Son
Billy Joel - Piano Man
U2 - Running to Stand Still

I know you said three Lounge, but these five sprung straight into my head when I read the thread title. As I type this, a couple more are coming in too....
Not surprising at all.
Music has the power to move us in many ways, so why are grown men so afraid to admit certain songs can bring about strong emotions?
We all cried at a funeral in high school when they played Freebird.
Great song, we used to do a cover of that one in my band about 20 years back. It's ironic that you mentioned "Piano Man" cos I do a very obnoxious (who'd of thought? lol) imitation of that song that kets people laughing so hard they cry.
Anyhoo, here are my three and although they might be a bit cliché, just like Lounge mentioned prior, they're strong to me cos they're reminders of certain peeps close and when they died.
It's the lyrics more than the song. Very, very evocative imagery.

Jesus Christ not sure how I forgot to put in LET IT BE.
And I agree with you Sharkey, the lyrics to PM are incredible. It's one of those songs that has been beaten to such death by corporate radio that you become anestistized [sp?] to it...
Always wanted to tell the guy making love to his tonic and gin to get his dick out of the glass, I'm trying to eat my wings over here.....

I posted under aliases and I jerk off with a sock. Anything else to add?
The fucking line I simply love you more than I love life itself still gives me fucking chills everytime I hear it.
Good tune - Elton has several great tunes that are worthy of this thread. My favorite is probably Your Song.

John Lennon - Imagine. Actually, the Neil Young version that came out for the 9/11 fundraiser was even more powerful, IMO. That reminds me of a Neil Young candidate - Harvest Moon.

Sorry, just keep thinking of more as I go about my day...
