I believe firestarter is attempting to say that since Chickenfood is still together, it means that VH is intact and Hagar will not be returning. The irony of course being that while Van Halen has done nothing other than sell false nostalgia since 2007....

Yeah, it is a bit sad that Hagar, Anthony, the drummer from the Peppers and Satriani are able to produce more output than the current entity known as Van Halen. However, to me Chickenfoot's music is mediocre, so who really gives a fuck how quickly the band creates and releases it?...

Listen to this man, he knowwwwws what he's talking about. Though I think "mediocre' is a rather generous description of the quality of their noise, I must agree how sad it is that Eddie "It's All About Me" Van Halen can't put out SHIT and send that fat bastard Gaygar crying in his gay lovers arms.

It's so fucking pathetic that my cat, who by the way is a huge CVH fan, got herself a Fooking gun to shoot mice and any source of Hagar music in the immediate area until SpeD releases something new.

I wouldn't say Chickenfoot was the worst I've heard in terms of rock music. Their output logically mirrors that of their lead singer's entire career: bland, unimaginative, generic. The projects Hagar involves himself with are consistent in producing a result that doesn't even move or inspire me enough to even dislike it. The result just sits there...flat and lifeless.

The dislike with Hagar in terms of what he did with Van Halen is that on all of those post-Roth VH records there were always a few decent instrumental ideas, but Hagar's monotone range and simplistic lyrics just weren't worthy of being meshed with them.

It's not to say that Van Halen could have NEVER sounded good with another singer besides Roth (despite it being the case up to this point), but the singers that the band went with post-Roth had nothing exceptional to offer.
