NO, they weren't the backing band shithead. They play on one song, and charged 3K for the session. The rest were session musicians including Hugh McCracken (guitarist) George Small (keyboards) Andy Newmark (drummer) Tony Levin (bassist) Earl Slick (guitarist) and Arthur Jenkins (percussionist).....

You read the credits well, but they're schilled.

Rick and Bun E. played on half the album, Rick told me this himself.

                  Good call Hambon.

I could care less about the hall of fame, but still this band's done great tunes.

Yes yes, I'm, fucking sure he did.....

In two books, One written by Fred Seamen (relation to John and personal assistant until he was shot) described the sessions, players, and the progression of making the album. They both stated that the two played on ONE song (I'm losing you) then gave them a bill for 3K. Yoko stated they should be paying THEM for the privilege of playing for John...

Yeah, I read the book when it came out of course and considered the source when I asked Rick.. in 2005 I'm thinking?

I met Robin, Rick and Tom at NAMM in the Rickenbacker booth just hangin out. Nobody was crowding 'em!

I had a good 15 minutes talking about all sorts of Cheap Trick things which surprised me because most legacy A-list acts of their tenure have heard just about any question anybody could ask tend to go "yeah, uh huh."

But these guys seemed really interested that a nobody knew alot about them. Of course most of the conversation was talking gear and such, but they're all famous gear whores. I got the feeling we could have gone for hours over which Beatle played what in a given year, who has that guitar today, did I know so-n-so did this thing there.. but that's what the show afterparties are for in the Hotels: picking each other's brains for info on whatever comes to mind and bouncing new ideas off lots of different people at the same time that you'd never get the chance to in a normal occupation.

But I deGRASSE. Carry on with your bashing, SheepPeeps like I give a fuck.. just sharing that I'm not ashamed to say I'm a Cheap Trick fan also, and they're a very professional lot.
