Another list.... 10 Songs most likely to make a man cry

Holy fuck... they must have surveyed a bunch of fags!

These are the songs most likely to make a dude cry
    by Sean O'Neal September 29, 2010

According to a survey conducted by PRS For Music, R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts” is the song most likely to make a man cry, even though “Sweetness Follows” is the way sadder track on that album. The close runner-ups were Eric Clapton’s “Tears In Heaven” and Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” while the song most likely to make a woman cry was Lou Bega’s heartless ode to cheap polyamory “Mambo No. 5”—or it probably would have been, had they bothered asking the ladies. Here’s the full Top 10:

    1. R.E.M,"Everybody Hurts"
    2. Eric Clapton, "Tears In Heaven"
    3. Leonard Cohen, "Hallelujah"
    4. Sinead O’Connor, "Nothing Compares 2 U"
    5. U2, "With Or Without You"
    6. The Verve, "The Drugs Don’t Work"
    7. Elton John, "Candle In The Wind"
    8. Bruce Springsteen, "Streets Of Philadelphia"
    9. Todd Duncan, "Unchained Melody"
    10. Robbie Williams, "Angels"

R.E.M.'s Everybody hurts tops the list of songs you would get off the toilet in mid diarreah stream to change if it came on the radio.

Magic Power and anything by Triumph gets goofed on by El Debarge for being too gay.

Wait, triumph had one song that.........hmmm.......nope that was bad too.

      Hey I tried.

        Oh dear.

I can see a case for 'Everybody Hurts' and 'Nothin' Compares 2 U', but the others?

        'Angels'? For fucks sake....

I can only wonder who comes up with these lists...

And why in hell there are no soul tunes (á la "These Arms Of Mine") on that list?
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

I welled up at least 3 times I remember when I saw Van Halen in 2007.

You Really Got Me - when the lights popped and there was Dave & Eddie on the same stage

Dance The Night Away - the middle part where Dave had all San Diego sing it for him.

Little Dreamer - the beginning at least. Little Dreamer! WTF! I couldn't believe they were actually playing it live in front of my naked steaming eyes.

As for a top 10 list that makes me cry when I hear them? I don't think I have listened to a song that made me sad enough to cry. Sad? Sure. But not to tears. Any tears I have shed to a song were out of pure joy.

Any list consisting of supposed "make you cry" tunes that does not include The Marmalade's "Reflections Of My Life", Left Banke's "Walk Away Renee" and Danny O'Keefe's "Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues" is incomplete and therefore totally bogus.

A couple songs that come close depending on my mood & why I am listening to them (and how much alcohol I've had).

                          Beatles - Yesterday

Louis Armstrong - What A Wonderful World

Only song from the official list I guess might be Eric Clapton - Tears In Heaven. But when I hear it, I usually just think of Erics son, rather than applying the lyrics to anything happening in my life.

                              What a gay list.

And why are we talking about it?
