Ozzy should have been on the plane in '82.

His posthumous stock would be bigger than Elvis and Hendrix and we would never have heard of Sharon.

No wait, that opinion will never be classed "unpopular".

it's a brilliant album. great songs, great guitar, don't care who did or didn't play on it, just sounds good.

Deep Purple should have never reformed.

They were legends on a par with Led Zeppelin until they did.

Yep, in a rare moment of clarity and coherence, Def Leppard's Joe Elliot said pretty much the same thing around the time Purple reformed. Essentially, he stated that the illusion of a legendary band was lost, and the myth was replaced by a disappointing reality. Things really went south when Gillan left and was replaced by the insufferable Joe Lynn Turner, a man proven time and again to be roughly as sharp as a marble.

I think Perfect Strangers is right up there with the best of anything they ever did.

In fact, far as reunions overall go, the DP MK2 lineup reunion of 1984-1985 was probably one of the very few rock band reunions where all the definitive members of a lineup participated, were able to create new music worthy of their past and could still bring it live.

House Of Blue Light was dodgy, and after that it was certainly a case of diminishing returns.

The 80's glam hair bands all sucked. They all were posers trying to copy David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen.

                              George Lynch is boring.
