From Jake E. Lee's Retraced covers album of 5 years ago. This is an old Trapeze tune, from the You Are The Music, We're Just The Band album. (Van Halen used to cover a handful of songs from the record.) The lead singer is a guy named Chris Logan, who does an amazing Glenn Hughes impression. Tim Bogert plays bass, and that's Aynsley Dunbar on drums.

A cover of the James Gang's "Woman", with Logan doing a passable Joe Walsh vocal.

Robin Trower-era Procol Harum's "Whiskey Train".

Chris Logan did 2 Michael Schenker albums. One of them, called Be Aware of Scorpions, is grrreat.

Chef that first one reminds me of Outta Love Again.

The guy really does a terrific job on the vocals. There is a Robin Trower tune on there, and he does a dead ringer of Jim Dewar. You should hear his Paul Rogers vocals on Free's "I'll Be Creepin".

I see what you mean about "Outta Love Again". ELVIS posted the VH tune, and I wonder if it suggested the Lee song to me somehow.

I believe you. First time I heard the Schenker album Be Aware of Scorpions the first thing I thought of Logan was that he sounded a lot like Paul Rodgers.
It is odd in hard rock that cover albums have become the rage, even though there are a lot of good tracks to come from it.

At any rate threads like this are excellent and it's always good to see what you guys are into that I missed!
