So I got this on DVD last week from my longtime connection in the Bootleg Underworld.

Had it on VHS for years but was, of course, inferior quality.

So I have been watching this tonight....damn, Eric Carr's snare sounds like a fucking cannon!

But that is not what this post is all about.

I noticed something hilarious. You know how they toured with a 40-foot Sphinx head behind them? Look at the face.....it is GENE FUCKING SIMMONS, lol.

Isn't that just like him? To want to have a 40-foot tall image of his FACE behind the band?
To want to be called "Pharoah"?



I could be wrong, but the resemblance is unmistakable, lol.

Actually, now that I look at it. I think Gene's ego would just about fit in that prop. It would be tight, but it could fit...

What I do find appealing about Gene is he shamelessly admits to it all. It's very rock and roll actually. Gene always said the goofy kids who didn't quite fit in become the rock stars. What was the appeal to us when we were kids? Breaking the traditional rules, making a lot of money, and getting laid a lot. It's a bit obscene but isn't that the appeal? Gene fully admits to it. Most people don't.

Lol. No DJ, but perhaps I oughta. Got 1 1/2 pints of Crown Royal in the fridge, courtesy of some cool neighbors.

Sure...does not exactly look like it in that photo, but from some different angles, I was looking at it's eyebrows, and the general shape of it's face, and it just looked like Gene, lol.

I'm not a fan of Canadian whiskey but Crown is good. I collect coins and those bags are always nice to put coins into. You get a bit of bonus there when most booze just gives you an empty bottle a drunk and a hangover. Crown gives you a fancy barf bag too. LOL!
