Princess of Sweden, Victoria, just gave birth to a girl. Brian May and Roger Taylor were slightly disappointed, but won't totally rule out the possibility of her too becoming a singer of Queen in the future.

Is this where we are in society, where we don't get enjoyment out of truly talented people who can do their craft well, and now we're reduced to laughing at other people's humiliation. fucking pathetic. Fuck corporations for taking over our radio and our tv, and just leaving us with this fucking garbage.
I do think there is an agenda in the corporate media to use the media to dumb society down. I live in Wyoming. Not exactly a cultural mecca but I went to my daughters school talent show and was blown away by how many good singers and musicians we have locally. I think there still is a lot of legitimate talent but it's not getting the corporate blessing. I think there are two worlds, the real one and then the one the corporate media creates which is to keep us distracted and fighting with each other while they pick our pockets.
The problems with the corporations is they no longer reflect a large base of stock holders who vote at proxy meetings. The corporations are owned by funds and the funds are owned by financial institutions and the financial institutions are owned by a few big banks who want to control everything and to do that, you have to dumb down the public and keep them distracted. Heaven forbid they inspire people and get them to be creative and think on their own. Monopolies never want to empower people ever.
Have the three remaining members become deaf and stupid?
How can they seriously hire such a lame bathtub moaner?
Paul Rodgers is a kickass singer, but I agree about George Michael doing a very good job twenty years ago or so.
But there can be no Queen without Freddie Mercury.

The voice of Marc Matel is almost the same like Mercury's!
And he can sing, no doubt. He should be the new singer.
Is he too perfect or what?
I agree, that's why I posted the other three links to live Martel performances on page two of this thread. It's so obvious I can't imagine why the other Queen guys havn't jumped on this. Martel is probably wondering the same thing.

Adam Lambert, I have to admit has a strong loud voice. Ideal to hold against the wall of sound from the rest of Queen. But something important is missing, maybe it's sympathy...
The stuff with Paul Rodgers was really good and it was a good ending for them...
Agree - that was an acceptable way to keep bringing their music to the masses one last time and end the band on a positive note. This just reeks of desperation. Filling Mike Anthony's spot - the bass player's spot - is one thing. Filling a lead singer's spot - Freddie Mercury's spot - with a kid is something else entirely. I have no interest in this whatsoever, not even in an imminent train-wreck kind of way.
