I remember buying this on VHS back then - what, 1980? Probably for a cash amount that would buy you a DVD player today (anyone else remember when VHS tapes were, like £40-50 quid - whatever that was in dollars).
Maiden were always quick on the uptake with video, though, and liked to film shows and get the stuff out there (are you reading this Ed ...)
I kinda lost interest in them around Piece of Mind, 'cos I basically didn't really care for Bruce's vox.THINK LIKE THE WAVESComment

I lost interest after Number of the Beast.
I think it was because with Bruce(the Hagar of Iron Maiden) they lost their punkiness, the vocal melodies suffered as well plus Clive Burr was a better drummer.Comment

But Burr a better drummer than Nikko? Come one......The Power Of The Riff Compels MeComment

Bring your daughter, Holy Smoke, Fear of the dark, those are the newer Maiden songs I hear regularly and to me those have completely thoughtless vocal lines.
Burr was more subtle that McBrain who is a lowest common denominator drummer IMHO although I'm not a drummer.Comment

The melodies on 'Piece of Mind', 'Powerslave' and (mostly) 'Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son' are stellar. The Power Of The Riff Compels MeComment

Number of the beast is the best maiden album whoever is singing and piece of mind still sounds great today ....tho am biased i do think the two di anno albums are great but i prefer the following brucey ones up to when adrian smith left .. tho their last album i really enjoyed .
