Be careful how much you pay. I got my copy the first week it was on sale, and still regret getting it. Imagine my chagrin if I'd had to pay the full retail price.

I know Kristys head is gonna blow up, both LZ and a hair metal band, but that's what I'm here for :D

                I'm confused...

I always thought ELVIS was a Lounge alias...

                  Mmmkay....

I already have the 10-cam bootleg DVD of the O2 show anyway......it's not like if I buy the official DVD I am gonna see monkeys flying out of Robert Plant's butt or something (though Krusty would love that sort of thing).
I also agree with Lounge...er...I mean, 'ELVIS'

I could understand the hype for the multi-disc 2003 LZ release, but the orgy of press accolades for this current release is a bit of a head-scratcher: the O2 show wasn't THAT fucking great. Certainly among the best post-John Bonham stuff the remaining members of Zeppelin have done as a unit live, but frankly Page and Plant were doing good stuff live in the 1990s together WITHOUT John Paul Jones or Jason Bonham...the O2 show was only really good when compared with Live Aid or the 1988 Atlantic Records show.

However, I will say the O2 show was a lot better than I thought the band were capable of in 2007...Page in particular seemed determined not to be quite as fumble-fingered as he has proven to be at times in a live setting.

The thing is, did the remaining members of Zeppelin even NEED to do any publicity for this dvd? A 30 minute press conference to basically say:

                  1. Here's a dvd of the show we did 5 years ago.

                  2. No, we're probably not gonna do any more shows ever again.

They could have put it out there with virtually ZERO in the way of adverts and the thing would have inevitably sold like hotcakes.

I love how people get so upset over music. Um.. it is Led Zeppelin. One of the biggest bands in the world. Still is 30 years after they quit being a band. I think people were just interested in what they had to say about playing together. Except Krusty. The Kennedy honor had zero to do with the dvd. They do a interview for guitar world about it. Fucking Guitar World isn't stupid. They put them on the cover to sell mags. Same with Rolling Stone. Fuck they put them on there for no reason at times! It's o.k. people. It will be alright. Oh the dvd is good. Nothing great. Kashmir is steller. I give the rest a 7 or 8. Fun to watch if you like Zeppelin. It's not rocket science. I love how people are making Led Zeppelin out to be media whores. A band that wouldn't almost ever do interviews in their prime, and didn't put their name on their albums. They let the music do the talkin'

Shame to see Charlie Rose debase himself like that.

Took long enough for Rock And Roll to gain serious respect in this world.....being interviewed by Charlie Rose is a pretty high accolade these days....

That was actually a very well-done piece. Done with the level of professionalism one would expect from Charlie Rose.
