Of all those of the era besides Hendrix, and more so than Clapton or anyone else left, he rules. He's from another planet. Just amazing.

Beck is a tough one for me. I really enjoy his playing, but for me the guy got really fucking lazy the last 20 years. He hardly plays his old stuff with any fire. Misses half the notes ! And it drives me nuts when people rest on their legend when it comes to guitar. His playing with the Yardbirds was really cool even though I don't care for many of the songs he did with them. The B.B.C. stuff is really cool. I guess Wired and Blow By Blow are classic's, but I don't listen to them much. And I love just guitar records ! I just don't think he is a top 5 player. Not to my ears. I think a guy like say Trower is way more interesting. Maybe not ground breaking because he kind of ripped of Jimi, but just a more interesting player. But Jeff was one of the early guy's from the 60's so he get's the credit first like Page & Clapton. I try not to judge and I guess it's what pleases the ears, but I can't put him in with the likes of Page, Jimi or Albert King. Like I said I think a lot of guys from the 70's are better. Still a amazing player though. He comes up with some cool shit. I wish he would just grab a pick sometimes and let loose ! Love his version of A Day In The Life. That is brilliant.
