With respect you're ignorant on this.

TW were hardly the most sophisticated musically but there was tongue in cheek humor going on there and they were not dumb.

Go back and look at Dee Snider at your silly congress place and his eloquent(successful) defense of your right to now enjoy songs about 'kissing a girl' and so forth.

Oh, you must mean Dee's charade on Tipper Gore's PMRC. I've read her book - now that's what's humorousness here. What did Dee really resolve? CD's were labeled and have been since 198-something so, nothing, really. Nice try. Next you'll tell me you use a garden rake to shovel snow.

As far as the person, RIP!

The guy wasn't anything special on the drums, boring actually!

I never liked TS at all..........thought their act of fusing the New York Dolls fashion and the 70's glam scene, with a cliche 80's rock sound was childish at best!

FYI Kristy Twisted Sister had some hits in the 80's but they are actually a 70's bar band and were huge in New York for a decade before anyone nationally noticed. They got packaged as hair metal but really they are a bare bones straight rock band built around on attitude and hard work more so than any great talent. You would be hard pressed to find a band that "made it" that remained as local and community involved as the TS clan. Hate the music, make up, schtick, etc... don't hate on the people.

              RIP
They put together a goofy marketing gimmick that worked. I bet "We're not going to take it" is a cash cow for whoever has the publishing. You still hear that song being used in stuff. Got to do what you got to do. They knew what they were doing.

Actually the record labels found out albums sold better with the PARENT ADVISORY labels so they wanted them. Bands liked it too from a rebel perspective. Now kids can download all the filthiest porn and music to their hearts desire. I mean that whole PMRC thing in hindsight is a big joke.

You gotta hate and be you but there are a lot of living people to spew at. Rip his act or whatever but calling someone who you actually never met retard, moron, etc... on the day he passed and while friends are family are grieving while making funeral arrangements is really making a comment more about yourself that you see it as a good time for that.

AJ was a sweet guy and very much beloved in his community regardless of what you think of his act. Attack the act, or better yet for just a few days go attack anyone of the billions of people whose family is not grieving and is trying to decide what his wishes were since he felt he would never die.

Reconsider your timing and consider refocussing. You are defaming yourself more than anyone else here.

Oh, and I do understand he was some sort of hero of yours. He comes from a time of your generation where hair bands ruled the planet and everything was all right with the world and that somehow a part of you died with him.

But let's be honest here, he was a third-rate musician in a nostalgic touring dog and pony act. The dude was overweight, could have been suffering from Type II diabetes, had issues with drugs and alcohol in the past that might have led up to his untimely death. I'm willing to say his heart attack could have been prevented if he took much better care of himself.

Obviously, he did not a shit about his health.

Nope no hero just good hearted guy who doesn't deserve name calling on the day he died.

He did jack in regard to his health for a long time and indeed had diabetes challenges about 10 years ago but actually had lost weight and been doing well health wise hence the surprise.
Yes he had a blue color biker mentality and is from a cliché era. He actually was a solid musician. He came from a long line of musicians in his family, he studied classical composition, and few know this but he actually was a fairly solid saxophone player and that was his primary instrument growing up.

Attack the cliché, but don't call the man retard, moron, etc... on the day he passes especially when you seem ignorant on the actual person himself.

No hero, just was a hard working guy with all the flaws of any of us have.

                                RIP
