BTW, can someone explain to me why some people tell me that ZZTOP covered War's 'Lowrider' but yet it's not on their greatest hits CDs??? Did they do a cover of that song??? Were the members of ZZTOP known as 'War' before they changed their name? Anyone? Anyone?

Gibbons puts on a clinic. The medley on Fandango is pure genius.
Listening to that, you start to realize they were arguably the greatest power trio (blues rock) ever.

Simple answer to that one. War is a whole other band. The song has never been covered by ZZ Top (to the best of my knowledge), although everybody just THINKS that they covered it. When you see an mp3 called "ZZ Top - Lowrider", you're looking at pure lack of knowledge. (So to speak...)
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

I've always liked "Sleeping Bag" and "Arrested for Driving While Blind"! I've got the first 6 ZZ Top albums and really dig some of the older 70's tunes over the more popular songs from the 80's. Either way, I love the hell outta there sense of humor and inuendo like "Pork Chop Sandwich"!
