Man Arrested for Posing as Gynecologist

DALLAS — A Texas man has been sentenced to four years in prison for posing as a gynecologist (search) — with an office in a self-storage complex.

Authorities in Dallas launched an undercover investigation after seeing an ad in a weekly newspaper offering free medical care. A prosecutor set up the undercover sting with an investigator posing as a patient and using a hidden camera.

They say Thomas Remo wore a scrub shirt and had some medical equipment in the small kitchen of the storage facility office where he worked.

After Remo's arrest in September, authorities got calls from women who said they were victims, but did not want their identities revealed in court records. Prosecutors did not file sexual assault charges.

What kind of a woman would use the services of a OBGYN who had an office in a kitchen in a storage facility? idiot... Abortion is still legal, woman can call their OBGYN. Clearly, the women this man violated have no one to blame but themselves.

For God sakes, use the yellow pages or get a referral from a friend. Stupid cunts.. I am glad this man is going to prison, he was giving the women he defrauded a false sense of security. That is unforgivable and slightly derranged; this man probably has issues with females. Moral of the story is to know your doctor and make informed choices..

OBGYN's perform abortions? The girls I knew who wanted one had to go to a clinic.
