They were all amazing. Some days I feel ED KING is the best of the bunch. Some days I feel it's STEVE GAINES. I think technically, GAINES was the most talented technically. And I think KING was the best craftsman of the bunch. I can't believe Ronnie and Steve both died on the same night.

Pretty disgusting behavior. I saw them, third row, on that final tour with Ed in '95. He played brilliantly. They played WHISKEY ROCK 'A' ROLLER and they smoked. Ed also handled all of Gaines' lead stuff in songs like THAT SMELL and I KNOW A LITTLE. When they kicked him out, they lost their last bit of legitimacy, as far as I'm concerned.

There was a GRATE article years ago in SPIN(around 98-99 I think) which basically said "WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A BUNCH OF HILLBILLIES BECOME MILLIONAIRES OVERNIGHT".

Basically, everybody who EVER played in/with SKYNRD had a lawsuit against them. Sad stuff.
