The only SOUL ASYLUM song I remember was RUNAWAY TRAIN. To be honest, I didn't like it at all. I was busy banging my head to DIRT and BADMOTORFINGER and NEVERMIND around that time. ROTH is my hero and VAN HALEN is one of my bands. But that whole scene in the early 90s...that was my generation.

I actually heard "Let Your Dim Light Shine" by accident and liked it. Just that album, by that group.

Crawl ... the lyrics I thought were cool ... about getting juiced at the bar, and you should go ... but it not far home, you could crawl home ...

I'm with you on the Runaway Train thing from Gravedigger's Union (I think), didn't like it. Nothing esle they did.

I precede that era a little bit ... but was definitely into those bands too.

              Hell yeah.

George is awesome. First time I saw him live, it was great. He opened the show with a fast and heavy one...that "I Don't Ever Wanna Dance Again" song...I went with Pablo, my best "friend" at the time. Let's just say the night didn't end at the concert. Anyway, George is pretty great, and a lot of you know that but just won't admit it!

Got into VAN HALEN when I was eight. I fucking loved them. And they've basically been an obsession ever since, but I never liked Sam. Dave was basically the reason I got into the band, just as Layne was the ingredient I got into most in ALICE (although in time, I recognized ALICE as more Jerry's band). SOUNDGARDEN...now they were Chris's band primarily, but truly about Kim and Matt too. Hell, Ben also brought a lot to that band.

Man...so much great music in such a little time period...the early 90s rocked.

SUPERUNKNOWN...it took me almost ten years to truly love it. But DOWN ON THE UPSIDE is still my favorite album they ever did. BADMOTORFINGER sounds better now even than it did back then.

Another band that pissed me off, breaking up.

Those Seattle bands exploded on to and off the music scene.

'94, NIRVANA falls to pieces. Horrible day for me, frankly. '96, ALICE comes back together and teases us all, but then disappears forever except for two songs. They play their last concert opening for KISS! '97, SOUNDGARDEN break up out of nowhere!! PEARL JAM, still around. But a lot of people don't like them the way they did the other bands. I loved 'em back in the early '90s, but these days, though I still like 'em, I consider them a bit more laid back and not as vital as SOUNDGARDEN or ALICE. PEARL JAM definitely sound more mature than they used to. Whether or not that's a good thing, I don't know. TEN hasn't aged well, to my ears.

I never really got into AIC until about 2 years ago. Not sure why I never appreciated them back when they were around, but I do now. Amazing band.........one of the few "grunge-era" bands I listen to on a regular basis.
