If you like Jack AP, you really owe it to yourself to try the Dickel #12 (ivory label). Its the only other "Tennessee whisky" (filtered through charcoal) and (sorry, Dave) far superior and at a much more attractive price to boot.

Have you tried this yet, Max?

Its an old line brand that was reintroduced a few years ago and is finally being stocked here.

I'm not a huge fan of scotch, but this stuff strikes a very nice balance between bourbon and a higher end scotch.

I'm with you, I never buy scotch. That peat finish just does not suit me. But Bulleit, it is very nice. Just a hint of a scotch-like high note with a bright, slightly citrus finish.
